WHAT YOU NEED FOR HEALTHCARE

EPS or go naKED..... eps is cheap, doctors and hospitals are great... self insure if you got it, operations and hospital stays are inexpensive, office visits too, Medicare does not travel overseas. specialists take you as you walk in, or with an appt, no insurance clearing house or dr prescr nec, same with meds.. no pres necessary, eps drug coverage is dirt cheap.
EMI is emergency service in your home.. DOCTOR COMES!!! Ambulance free with EMI... cheap monthly copay..

Larry Rose I hope that helps! I have EPS and Emi... but occasionally I will go to a specialist outside the system...why... no lines. Appts for svces inside EPS have to be made in person at the main office. Also meds are picked up at the main offices too..lines. In a farmacia you can buy the same drugs OTC for very cheap compared to US prices.. but EPS Nueva has a copay of about $2.40 per month NO MATTER HOW MANY MEDS THEY GIVE YOU !!!

Larry Rose My EPS and my EMI cover my entire household for about $70 per month... This includes everything! Surgery, hosp, drs, meds... not Lasik though or cosmetic dent... It DOES cover psychiatric and dental... and if you are pregnant, decapaCITATED OR PSYCHOTIC THERE ARE PREferential lines for you. too. One can get used to the lines.

Larry Rose You will need a cedula to use EPS and EMI, a govt issued ID card which needs a visa other than a tourist visa. with the proper visa you need to first register it and then apply for a cedula at Migracion in Belen, Medellin. Until then you will go naked or swee if your ins from the US travels. In the US i had ins, very expensive, that did. so i used it until i was able to get a visa other than the tourist visa. and i also went naked because it was so much cheaper and so less of an enormous hassle than Kaiser,

  1. I lived in Chacras de Coria, AR. for 6 years. It is located about 10 minutes outside of the main City of Mendoaz, AR.

I loved the small "ville" feel (about 25,000 people, mainly locals with an expat mix).

I am very interested in Sabaneta or that area outside of Medellin. I am looking for a small comfortable place to stay while I research the areas. First visit will be only a couple or 3 weeks at most. Don't want a Spa or "frills" type of Hotel, etc. Prefer to cook at the place I rent as well as eat out. Wish to price the local food vendors, markets, cost, see long term offerings, etc. etc.

Can't seem to find any reasonable cost places (hotels, etc.) and don't want a hostel, in the area of Sabaneta.

Any guidance, advice, suggestions et al would be greatly appreciated. Coming in February 2017 at the latest. If this is bad timing there, I am flexible.

    respectfully submitted,

    Tomas
